hi there this is my first post and i got a question about 1949 gmc trucks. I have a 49 gmc and was wondering if its possible to swap the front grille and bumper with a 49 chevy truck. the hood looks the same and fenders but is there anything that needs to be done mod wise?

Without modifications I dont think they will fit. If anyone knows for sure, correct me if I'm wrong.

IIRC, the fenders are the same, but the hood is very different. Since the grille is different, I'd assume that the latch plate is also.

i may be a bit late on this but yes, the gmc fenders are interchangable but the hood and latch need to be swapped out if youre using gmc grill

No thread can ever be late here. Old or new this info never gets to be useless.
