It has dual gas tanks, power windows, 350 with a 4bbl. carb.  I thinking about putting a 383 in it with an overdrive transmission behind it.

you'll just LOVE a stroker and overdrive in that

build the motor for maximum torque and make sure the trans can handle the extra grunt

I know a local transmission expert, that will beef the transmission up for me, & put the best stuff in it. I know a 350 turbo can handle the extra grunt, the 700-r4 will only take about 415 horsepower, if I'm not mistaking.  Thanks Dustin & may GOD bless you & yours

Other than the trans and the 383, do you have any other plans for the truck?

Paint it, fix interior, install energy suspension bushing, install the frame repair kit where the frame cracks behind the steering gear. I might get it in the mud, just a little.

At least the outside doesn't have to much rust damage so the body work wont slow down the painting to much.

I think I may do without the brushed trim. I am gonna go two with the paint, top m& bottom the dark blue like on the new Honda Ridgeline & down the middle the cool vannila clear coat like on the Chrysler 300's or the Aspen. Thank yall for all the ideas. I am open for suggestions. Dustin Rogers

That blue is a sick color. Love the fact that the color is deep and rich.

i believe "sick" now (2009), equals "bad" circa mid-70's...in other words (specifically, what is meant) "cool"

someone has been watching too much american chopper

Sorry if my new school slang tripped you up...JK. Damn I need to stop watching that damn MTV. Either way sick or slick that color is awesome.
