I have a 1974 C10 that I need to change the doors on and I am trying to find out what year doors will fit. The part number for a new door covers 1973 - 1976. I always thought that the body was the same for 1973 - 1987. I would like to get later model doors if possible.

I can't guarantee this to be true, but I believe your window of good doors is 73-80. In 81 GM changed the body a bit to include a vent under the windshield instead of the hood going all the way to the windshield. Not sure if this change makes any difference to the doors, but worth checking in out...

Researching around it looks like doors range from 73-76 that will work.
