I have a '68 F100 4X4.  According to some writting in the original owners manual, it has a 4 speed new process trans., and DANA #60-3 (3.54)for the rear.  I assume the front would be the same.  on the outside of the manual written is trans C8TA 7003AE F150 435.  On the original '68 shop manual, written is front C8TA BY (smeared) 602982J and rear C8T AJ 668CL (smeared) 3.54 603044-4.  I have not had a chance to crawl under the truck to confirm any of this.  If correct, how long did ford put in those axles.  I'm looking to swap spindles to put on disk brakes.  I know I need to look into '73-79 axle specs.  Thanks for looking.  -j

Update:
Got under my '68 4X4 and found some markings, although incomplete.  Here is what I found:
Trans: C-96391 P and something that looks like an N with a curved line out of the top left and bottom right.
Transfer case:  B/M 300756-1 Model 21
Rear Axle: C30255  I cannot locate the DANA number.  Need to scrub clean.
Front Axle: C8TA-BY  602982-1  3.54
Any help?  Thanks.
