I CANT FIND ANYTHING ABOUT THE ORIGINS OF THE BLOCK. CAST IS 3969854. (ce0a6o42 1) is the rpo i got of the ledge exactly as shown. o could possibly be the number or letter.

my engine book shows it as 69-72 chev car or truck and should have heads # 330865,353049,3856206,3964290,or3975950 or 70-72 car or truck with head #3965198 hope it help you.

hello mpayne I have a 3" binder full of casting #s for heads&cyl. blocks that the front and rear pages are missing,but says Identification Manual AERA. It has most engines ever built and seems to be acurate any time i have used it.Got it with the package deal when I bought a engine rebuilding machineshop to add to my tool colection. Maybe you have herd of this company,ask if you need #s looked up Thanks
