One thing to avoid is wheel adapters. There crap, unsafe and could crack. I belive '72 C-10+ came with 6-lugs.

I think most parts suppliers(LMC, Early Classic, Classic Performance Products, etc.) carry six lug rotors that would be a direct fit for your factory disc spindles(The '71 model year was the introduction of factory front disc brakes).  As far as getting a set of six-lug rear axle shafts, check with any of the above mentioned places and they may have a set of good used sixers due to the popularity of every one converting to five lug, or from a 4-wheel drive. The trick to watch out for here is axle length as previous model year axles(can't remember specifically) where about a half inch shorter per side. This should give you a reference point to start from at least.

Probably the quickest and cheapest way to adapt the rear end to 6 lug wheels is to get an entire rear end from a 4x4, or a early to mid 60's two wheel drive.. there is several kits available for converting the rear end to disc brakes if that is what you are trying to accomplish as well.
