I'm new to this forum, so please post on this because I'm in a real brain tease here and I don't know jack about this. I have a 1961 Apache and I was wondering about where I can get some new front control arms and other front end components. Any website or catalog I have only has these items listed for 63-66 and I just don't know. I'd appreciate it if someone could give me a hand on this.

Is your truck 3/4 ton? Where are you located? Are you looking to replace damaged parts or just fixing it up? I am in Oregon and there is a 61 Chev in our local wrecking yard with the entire front end in tact. It is a 3/4 ton truck with the torsion bars.. Dont know if this helps you or not, but if you are close it may work out for you.

Yeah. 60-62 is unique, due to the torsion bar suspension.  Everbody seems to ignore this very good system.  I love the one under my 62 3/4ton.  It rides better than most 1/2tons, but still holds up to hauling my 5'er.

1962 Chevy C-20, 402BB, 4-speed, 3.90 positrack. Hauls my camper.... among other things.
