i HAVE A 1962 F100 THAT HAS A 223 STRAIGHT 6 WITH A 3SPEED ON THE COLUMN. i WANT TO BUILD A 302. WILL A AND OLDER 302 BOLT UP TO THE ORIGINAL TRANNY?

If you have a 3 speed or 4 speed you will have to use the bell housing from a 302 that is for your trans 3 or 4 speed. You might have to find a '62 with a V-8 so you can use the frame mounts.. As the 223 has a single mount in front . The '59 223 I had used the single mount in front... P.S. The 223 I had , used a high-low cam and I ported the intake and would do a little drags with some V-8's and would wipe them. Clifford Research has speed equipment for your Hot Water Six .. Also Offenhauser has a beautiful two-one's and a three-one's intake for that same 223. There are also headers for that with single or duel exhaust... Dude
