I have a 1957 short stepside with a 55 doghouse up front.  Also thanks to a 1981 Camaro; IFS, discs, 350/TH350, updated 10-bolt, and wiring were donated.  It has also has a spare tire well on the driver's side fender.  In all my years of looking at great truck pix, I've never seen another.  Anyone know how many were available in 55-57?

About half. There was even a time when those were the ones sought after, considered 'fancy' to mount a spare that way, but not anymore.
You don't see them cos they get nixed.
Who knows, a 67-72 small window is more sought than a big window, apprasial wise.
But hey if it's gonna be a driver you'll need that fender if you run one of those stupid rear mount tanks.
