I have a question regarding a three speed manual transmission I installed in my 63 several years ago. I pulled it out of a 62 chevy parts truck I had at the time. At the time I wasn't too concerned with it as I was a 17 year old kid and just wanted to get my truck running again. I asked my dad when we installed it what kind it was and he told me it was a three speed with an electric overdrive. I was never able to get O/D to work. It has a cable controlled lever on the transmission for engaging the O/D along with an electric motor that I'm assuming you have to connect a switch to. My question is has anyone ever heard of one of these and if so has anyone had any success getting it to work.

You have a Borg-Warner R10 overdrive. I have one out of a 65 Chevy pickup, for a project I'm working on. At one time, I had a modified R10 behind a Turbo 400, in my car hauler.
Here's a couple articles on them. I had a couple other wiring diaghrams, but I think they might have lost them.

I had the lockout cable installed, but just used a 2-speed axle switch to control it, and never bothered with the governor.
