Bought a 1950 GMC truck a couple of years back.  The truck had an older restore on it and the entire cab is full of filler.  Are the cabs off of a bigger truck, say a grain truck going to be the same as mine.  These a preety easy to come across in my neck of the woods, but a 3/4 ton pick-up with a decent cab is not. Any thoughts?

I can't believe that nobody has replied to this question yet, but in answer  yes a cab off a grain truck should work out for you with no problem. The fenders will probably have bigger openings for the wheels, as the larger trucks had bigger wheels. You're probably going to use your original fenders, so that won't matter. The doors on the grain cab will be the same as far as fit, although they might have some unwanted holes from different style mirrors, but they can be welded in without much trouble. Good Luck

It's just a slow week.
