Hi guys,i own a ford f-100 from 1979 its a longbed with a 302 engine and I want to see what u guys think about making it a shortbed I know  a friend who owns one and I like it. They want to charge me 1000.00 to cut the chassis and the bed, he showed me before and after pictures and they look great to me. But before decide I want to ask what are the pros and cons and if somebody has done this before?

Doesn't sound too far out of reach for  that type of job .I saw a Chevy done on one of the "Trucks" episodes. Frame, bed ,drive shaft and E-cables. Are they cutting the front of bed or are you replacing it with another?....Dude
