Im looking at buying a 1969 3/4 ton pickup for a project truck. Can anyone tell me if I can do the same things to a c20 as others have done to c10 (such as lowering, etc). I don't want to buy it if I can't make it a great custom truck like you can with the 1/2 ton c10. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes & No.
Wheel/tire combos are not as easy on 3/4 ton. Mostly because a majority of 8-bolt stuff is aclimated to the 4x4 & off-road crowd.
I don't see any major obstacles on lowering, either. Especially if you upgrade to later model spindles and disc brakes. The rear end is easy. Stubby spring, maybe a little drop block, or air springs.
One thing is certain. Not many custom heavy's beatin' the bricks.

Do you know can you take a rear end out of a 1/2 ton and install it so you are working with 6 bolt stuff. Thanks for your information

Yes, you can, but then you still have 6-bolt stuff. It's all for older Chevy 4x4, or import pickups.
If you go that route, look for 71-72 stuff, so you get 5-bolt hubs. Then the front disc brakes hubs will match.
