Just bought a 1969 Dodge stepside pickup.  The origninal 225 Slant Six at sometime has been replaced with Ford staight 6 motor and Ford transmission.  The man I bought it from (it had been his grandfather's) said he believed it to be a 223.  What is the best way for me to confirm this and possibly find the year of manufacture? Any help would be great! Thanks

That 223 was made several years I believe from '54 up to about '64 . The intake and exhaust manifolds are on the left side of engine. ....Dude
