just bought a 72 k5,  came with all new ignition switch, this is the whole unit with prongs that under dash wiring hooks into, the problem is  is that the old part will not come out, the steel grommet or face plate on the dash will partly unthread from the rear part but will not separate, i need to separate both pieces to install new unit into dash , from what i can read the small hole in the face of the tumbler needs depressed and key turned cclockwise  to remove, but when i insert pin into hole there is no spring action?  any help appreciated
