i need pics and positions on where to mount the new stereo and 4 speakers. on an unrelated subject in oklahoma we have about a foot of snow and my truck was parked outside when it all  to fall. this morning trying to get it out and into the  garage was challenging for a 2wd truck with some shitty used tires with no tred AT ALL! plus i don't have allot of driving experience seeing how i don't have my license yet. when i finally got it out and down the driveway into the garage it was still covered in snow, so the truck was surrounded in buckets.
any ways i just thought i would share my crazy experience.

Hey Spoonman, If i were to want a stereo and speakers in my truck i would make a replacement panel for the doors out of thin 1/8th plywood and not cut any metal. cover the ply with material of you choice, cut your holes in the wood for the speakers.  If your truck has the original radio and you like the look of it put the new stereo in the glove box. If your dash is already cut for an aftermarket radio just put it there.  What part of OK do you live in?   I have family in the Gans area, south east part of oklahoma.

i live just south of tulsa in a little town called okmulgee, but that is what ill do with the speakers but i would end up wreaking the truck jacking with the radio if in the glove box.

gotta love winter snow isn't bad but the -41 temp could do without last couple of days, thats part of canada living. How about a sterio unit from custom autosound that way you don't hack the dash and mine works great with the 10 disc changer and ipod hookup and they may even have kick plate speakers to.Then you get part of your int finished at the same time. The slim fit undercover 8" subs with tweaters would slip in behind the seat they pound out the tunes.

ya didn't know you had a system but that will work but the glove box thing looks good but a little dangerous for driving and tuning!!!

what i was going to do to my friends 66 was make panels for some 5 1/4" put those in the upper corners of the cab ( behind you ) and make kick panels for some 6 1/2" down on the floor and angle them up towards you. and put the cd player in the glove box

Sweet looking setup spoon. Is that a 5.1 setup?

The way your speakers are positioned it looks like a 5.1 surround system setup.
