1948 front fender question

Good day All, Im working on a 1948 5 window 3800 stakebed. Will the front fenders work form a 1/2 ton? I heard the cabs/front ends (body) were the same. Having a 1 ton I feel kinda like an adopted step child in here. This truck has optional 18" wheels(duals) and a factory hyd lift bed, it has a 1954 235 4 speed. Any advise on 1 ton info would greatly be helpful. Thanks All
