I have a 1948 Chevy that I would like to get running again for my dad. I have thought about swapping out the chassis for one that is possibly a four wheel drive. What years would work best for this. I am open to any suggestions and Ideas.

You might look at an S10 4x4 truck frame . Go to www.ad-engineering.com and I think you'll find the info you need ! Good luck !

What about a 73-87 1/2 4wd chassis?

The wheel stance is wider and you would have to fatten the fenders to make it work i had to with my 2000 frame.Ithink you end up with a great truck but is a lot more work.
