I'm trying to marry a 1939 chevy pick-up with a 1996 corvette I stripped the corvette completely and noticed that the front end clip is about 5" wider than my frame rail. Has anyone ever sectioned a clip and take 5" out Can anyone give me some advise on the front end swap. Do I use the original corvette clip or is it easier to buy the conversion kits now available and use just the suspension parts and scrap the cross bar / engine support? Any advise on the rear end swap and engine mounting is also greatly appreciated.Maybe it is better to retire the 39 frame and have someone build me one with the conversion in mind. But that means big bugs probably and takes the challenge away.
Not sure what the frame looks like on a 96 vette but did you look at the custom 55 that i have on here i built the frame to fit the suspention and truck. I will look at some info on the vette and get back to you. That would be a sweat ride!
