i am currently working on a 1951 GMC and I am in the process of draining the fuel tank but i was wondering how to fully remove the tank..any help?  thanks

You should just have to take the tank straps all the way loose in the cab and then go under the truck and take out the fitting. Could be a valve, a filter or something else depending on who has worked on the truck. That's all I had to do on my 1950 Chevy 3600.
