I have a 59' Chevy Apache and I am having issues with my gas pedal. I have attached the top of the pedal to the linkage rod coming through the floor and the bottom I bolted to the floor. When I have it like this it doesn't give me any response at all. Am I doing it wrong or missing parts???? Please Help

I think whats happened you don't have enough rod ratio to pull the rod open, to open the carb. In other words it just sits there and does Nothing.... It's acting like a pendelum...Hardly any movement at the bottom and much more movement at the top....I hope I didn't confuse you...

Try adjusting the rod on the lever as shown in Wayne's diagram.... Linkage problems will confuse the best of us...LOL...
