there is a chevy parts manual you can decode them over at gmpartswiki dot com..

click the browse... its the first 5 parts manuals and you will have to click thru the first dozen pages..

if i get a chance.. i will search it out.. but the parts wiki is a fun site... unless you need something at the back of a thousand page catalog... then it might take a while... one page at a time..

The gmparts wiki has less information than LMC Trucks but thanks for the new site!

this page shows perhaps the S in your vin number

i am not an expert on this...

as being a 53 to 55   5100 model.. 110" wheel base  utility COE model...

does the vin number you have match the vin number either on the cab door jam or glove box door inner plate?? and the top of the frame rail drivers side above the front axle near the steering box???

note... move slider below image above about 2/3rd's of the way to the right to view the right hand side of the page..

or click the image and it will download a single page copy to your desktop... i don't like that feature.. but it works and thats not my site..
