I got a 1982 silverado k10 pickup, recently imported to sweden from the us.1994 a goodwrench 350 was put in. I found this number on the block: 10066036.I must be able to tell the swedish car controll system following:1. The year of produktion on the engine.2. Engine horsepower.Anyone?Joan
while i look for that block casting numbermany goodwrench 350 are long block replacement engines...they have oil pan to block internals, cylinder heads to valve covers..all the other parts on the engine are from the existing vehicle..there are part numbers on most items..there is one stamped into the drivers side of the carb... 1708XXXX that identifies the carb... there are casting numbers on the intake.. along with julian dates..a julian date is usually a 4 digit number.. looks like this.. (\)B147(\) that B indicates feb 14 either 1977 or 1987.. let me look around... but post numbers off the other parts... you can also post pictures of the emission decal on the core support and various pictures around your engine bay... i might be able to point out anything wrong ...i don't have any chevy trucks to grab images from...upload them to an image hosting site.. i don't know if photobucket will work from there.. take lots of photos... also.. include the first 11 digits of the vin number... the info from the emission label under the hood..and possibly the RPO sticker that could be under the hood... inside the glovebox on a door jam.. this is what the sticker looks like

search google or other for the goodwrench number10067353oh... check the julian dates for year it was CAST at the foundry...they have made those for a bunch of years.. did they make a warehouse full in one run and just let them sit as they sold them .. i don't know..most emissions people look at the emission controls.. not the engine block in most cases..but i live in california.. and in a smog testing area so i know kinda what you are going thru..
Very nice!!A late step out with the flashlight gaved me this carb nr: 17082226.Hopefully, in a few days I will be back with more nr:s and some good pics.
