i take that is fullerton cal..springs.. i have not dealt with this company.. but they are near you... and they should be able to put some springs under your project...www dot atlassuspension dot comthere are several dozen shops within 20 miles of fullerton.. but its hard to tell what you really need.. and what you want as an outcome.. you might also want to think about BRAKEs... if you pick up an issue of this magazine at the news stand either in a supermarket.. big box store like target or walmart.. or on the spinning rack just inside the doors of most autozones and oreilly stores.. there are a lot of parts suppliers listed there.. you can search the archives by typing in 56 ford pickup .. into the search window above right...there is a large tech section.. do you have a digital camera.... take some pictures... start a photobucket dot com free account.. upload images there... ask questions here and paste images.. there are a few of us who can offer good and great advice.. one additional thing.... before taking it to any mechanic shop.. take pictures of it completely... print images of the areas you want work done.. specify.. .. give the shop a copy so they can give you a WRITTEN estimate.. its the law in california... you can also check the california department of consumer affairs to check the shops license and if they have had complaints..in california.. shops have to give you a WRITTEN estimate... with numbers.. that you have to aggree to.. they cannot go very much over without your written or phone approval.. there are a LOT of shops that will get your truck in for a low price.. and take it all apart and then .. well we found this and that and the other and well.. it should be done this way and thats more expensive.. please get it in writing.. and make sure that they have the area to work in.. and also a secured area to lock up the parts they remove.. so they don't walk out the door when nobody is looking... i was at a shop.. a customer unloaded some new expensive rims.. still in boxes.. somebody backed in to use some air.. when they drove away.. the boxes with the rims were gone.. under a minute.. i was in the shop i worked at.. came in late that morning.. as i was planning on working fairly late.. boss took the week off... the bosses son got there early.. started cleaning out the shop while dad was away... scrap truck was out from loading up.. . there were boxes of new parts the scrap truck.. there were boxes of customers parts on the truck.. there were bumper brackets for the 59 caddy in the truck.. that needed to go back on the caddy sitting right there.. i grabbed the boxes of bumper brackets and wheeled them back into the shop and told the scrap guy to unload while i figured this all out.. he drove off.. at least i grabbed the brackets but he got a LOT of other stuff.. and it took me a month to find replacements for customers parts that were waiting to be installed.
