I am planning on putting a split bench seat in my 79 C-10.
Does anyone know which is the best donor truck for fit and ease of installation?
I would prefer a power seat but it is not necessary.

thats a great question.. probably going to need to visit the junk yards for the various chevy, GMC and caddy versions of the full size gm truck to look for donors.

do you also have a battery powered sawzall   so you can cut the donors truck floor sections out.. to make it easier for you to figure the mounting out..  as the original chevy trucks were mounted at the ends only.. there will be 8 mounting points for split seats..

don't forget to NOTE the VIN number of the truck you are removing it from... so you can figure out what the wiring diagram for the seats are.. and more info if needed..

i don't know if any of the really late model truck seats have AIR BAGS in the sides.. many have heated seats... so be careful what you go to OHM and what you hook up to what..  air bags in the sides of seats will have SRS sewn into the sides..  and some years.. have a very complicated position memory system...
