HelloI have a 1955 2nd series 3100 235 Ci Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup.A pot hole has just lunched my steering box.I am after a complete rebuild kit that includes the ball bearing u carriers and clampParts 20 and 22 in shop manual page 9-7 guides are also GM group no 6.842.Since the rest was rebuilt a few a few years ago so really only need the guides and clip.I am based in the UK so part hunting is hard !Any help as to suppliers or junk yards will be thankfully receivedCheersAlistair

Thank you Wayne.I have found several suppliers of " complete " rebuild kits but these do not contain the bearing return carriers. They must be available because loads of people have offered to rebuild my box for me ! I can't justify the cost of sending my box twice over the Atlantic for the sake of a small pressed steel part.I will try the contacts you included.I am wondering if the return guides are interchangeable with the caras in Danchuk rebuild kit 16818 for tri chevy'sBall carriers measure 1 3/4 in wide and 1 1/4 high and carry a 1/4 inch ballParts 20 and 22 in shop manual, page 9-7. GM all groups number,GUIDE Steering gear ball return 6.842.The casting numbers on the box are 5667979*4 109sector shaft bushings 1 1/4" OD and 1 1/8" IDCheersAlistair
